Chole Bhature is one of the most popular punjabi recipe which is now liked almost all over india. Both chole and bhatura are two separate dishes eaten together. It falls under the North Indian Cusine of India. This recipe cannot be categorized under one such category. Chole Bhature can fall under fast food, street food, complete and as a breakfast item.

Ingredients(1 cup = 250 ml)

For Chhole :-

  • Soaked Chick Peas – 1 ½ cup
  • Medium Sized Tomatoes – 9 – 10
  • Green Coriander – ½ cup
  • Ginger Piece – 1 ½
  • Green Chilli – 1
  • Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
  • Cumin – ½ tsp
  • Coriander Powder – 4 tsp
  • Dry Mango Powder – 2 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder – ½ tsp
  • Kasoori Methi – 1 ½ tsp
  • Salt – 2 tsp
  • Baking Soda – ¼ tsp
  • Roasted Cumin Powder – ½ tsp
  • Black Salt – 1 ½ tsp1
  • Bay Leaves – 2
  • Cloves – 4
  • Big Cardamom – 2

For Bhatura :-

  • Wheat Flour – ¼ cup
  • Yoghurt – ¼ cup
  • Sugar – ¼ tsp
  • Baking Soda- ¼ tsp
  • Salt – ½ spoon
  • Oil to make chhole and to fry bhature
